1. Chi-chi.
Chi-chi as a child lacks emotional control, crying easily. As an adult she is equally temperamental, getting mad at Goku for forgetting about a vague promise for marriage. She has zero relationship with the story’s plot.
2. Puar.
Puar is a Yamcha fan-…creature? All Puar does is follow Yamcha around and cheer him on. He has no other function.
3. Yajirobe.
Yajirobe is fat, ugly, and morally repugnant. Crass and cowardly, he is a foil to main protagonist Goku, despite his decent strength.
4. Mr.Popo.
Toriyama’s shameless use of blackface takes form in Mr. Popo. Popo is an emotionless bully who tries to discourage the earnest Goku upon his arrival at Kami’s palace. Also, despite his strength, he plays almost no role in the series.
5. Chaotzu.
Chaotzu is to Tenshinhan as Puar is to Yamcha. Toriyama’s least likeable characters seem to be those that just follow and cheer on more important characters. Also, he loses to Krillin for not knowing what the answer to nine minus one is. By the way, it’s eight.
